New Use Energy Demonstrates Solar and Portable Power at the U.S. Naval Academy

Demonstrating Solar and Portable Power at the U.S. Naval Academy - New Use Energy.

Annapolis, MD - New Use Energy was invited to present the use of Solar and Portable power to the Midshipmen at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. The interest in solar stems from not only the mandate to power the federal government with 100% clean energy by 2030, but the advantage of silent portable power, already being proven out in Ukraine.

The Midshipmen are part of an exclusive club, which trains with drones, simulated firearms, and tactical displays, all requiring access to power to recharge their batteries. Preparing them to engage in the new high-tech requirements of the modern battlefield.

The innate curiosity of the soon to be Naval Officers was a very rewarding experience and the exchange of questions by the Midshipmen, as well as by NUE was a very successful and collaborative experience. NUE looks forward to continuing to support these young men and women with portable power, and the use of renewables to help them meet their needs.

NUE was honored to visit the home of the Second Marine Division, located at Camp Lejeune, VA. The conversation from New Use Energy revolved around the 'lessons learned' in Ukraine, the Marine Corps is not only preparing for the modern tactical battlefield, but in the significant work it does here in the United States for Disaster Recovery and Relief. Portable power is recognized as the first response to a Disaster and NUE is proud to have been invited to educate about the use of Solar as well as Portable Power to the USMC.
