What voltage is my golf cart?

Lift the seat and count your lead-acid batteries. Multiply the number of batteries by the voltage printed on each one.

36VSix 6V batteries. Common on older carts.48VSix 8V or four 12V batteries. Most carts today.72VSix 12V batteries. High-performance carts and LSVs.

Lithium golf cart batteries, explained.

How do I know what voltage my golf cart is?
Count the lead-acid batteries under the seat and multiply by the voltage on each. Six 6V batteries = 36V. Six 8V or four 12V batteries = 48V. Six 12V batteries = 72V. Then choose the NUEPowerâ„¢ package with the same voltage.
How far will a lithium golf cart battery go on a charge?
NUEPowerâ„¢ lithium batteries deliver about 35 to 120 miles of range depending on the model, your cart, terrain and load. The 48V 105Ah (5,120Wh) offers about twice the energy of the 48V 52Ah.
How long do lithium golf cart batteries last?
NUEPowerâ„¢ LiFePO4 golf cart batteries last 5 to 10 years, so you replace them far less often than lead-acid.
Can one lithium battery replace all my lead-acid batteries?
Yes. A single NUEPowerâ„¢ battery replaces the whole lead-acid bank at the same system voltage, with no complex wiring between multiple batteries.
Do I need a new charger for a lithium golf cart battery?
Yes. Lithium batteries need a matched LiFePO4 charger to charge safely and fully. Every NUEPowerâ„¢ package includes a smart charger matched to the battery, and replacement chargers are sold separately.
