Many electronic devices such as controls, LED lights and communications equipment operate on a native DC voltage (e.g. 12V, 24V or 48V DC). These devices usually come with an external power supply (like the one you use with your laptop) that converts 120V or 240V AC electricity into DC to power the device.
By powering a device directly from a NUE battery generator (BBG), you eliminate the need to convert the power from AC into DC (through the external power supply) and can operate more efficiently (10% to 15%) in the process and increase reliability and runtime.
The NUE BBG (broadband battery generator) is a clean, silent way to add additional runtime to 36v broadband power supplies from any manufacturer. Each BBG features a 100Ah 36V nominal battery in a weather resistant pelican-type case. LiFePO4 chemistry provides the maximum amount of usable power in the event of a long outage (up to 80% more than equivalent sized lead acid).
Each BBG has 2 Anderson SB175 connectors, allowing users to daisy chain up to four BBGs in parallel. BBGs come standard with an easy-to-use Bluetooth app (BAT-BMS) for no-touch monitoring using iOS or Android smartphones.
